The split of Women in the Armed Forces is roughly 74,000 in the Army, 53,000 in the Navy, 62,000 in the Air Force and 14,000 in the Marine Corps.

Combat Arms Occupations

By January 1 2016, Women will be able to apply for all occupations within the US Army. Plans for integrating Women into combat arms jobs have been created.

Currently Army Ranger School has been opened to Women and the first class to have female students starts April 20. This will be the first time in history that a female has been allowed to attend this school. The results from this will allow military leaders to alter future plans and ensure integration goes smoothly and fairly.
